Applied Net and IVANS Connect Registration Terms and Conditions
These are the terms that govern your registration, attendance, and participation in Applied Net and IVANS Connect (“Event” as applicable), which is being held virtually in 2021. By registering for the Event, you are agreeing to these terms. If you are registering on behalf of another, it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them. By completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
Live Webcast & Login Information
The 2021 Event is a virtual conference consisting of webcasts of various learning sessions, access to virtual exhibitors, and other information. Registrants will also receive access to the presentations and recordings of the Event for a period of time.
Each registration receives one individual or personalized login. You will receive login information upon registration. Logins are for the named registrant only, cannot be used concurrently on multiple computers or devices, and may not be shared. Your level of access to content and sessions may vary depending upon you registration type (vendor, sponsor, prospect, customer, etc.).
Copying, Recording, & Live Streaming Prohibited
All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, content, trademarks, product names, and all materials distributed at, in connection with, or after the Event are owned by Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, or the sponsors, exhibitors, or speakers presenting at the Event (as applicable).
Participants may not copy, take screenshots, record, live-stream, or broadcast audio or video of the Event or its sessions in its entirety or portions thereof. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any written materials or video, if any, provided by Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, sponsors, exhibitors, or speakers without express written permission.
Code of Conduct
We strive to provide a positive, fun, and engaging experience for all participants. We ask that you conduct yourself in a professional manner, even as we participate virtually, to create an environment where all participants can collaborate, learn, and network in a productive and respectful environment.
The following behavior is inappropriate and will not be tolerated:
- Threatening, disruptive, or disorderly conduct or comments, including that which is inappropriate for a professional setting.
- Harassment of a participant of any kind, including that which is based on a participant's race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, age, or appearance, whether by conduct, language, or other action.
- Uninvited contact or following, or disrespecting the boundaries of other attendees (including through jokes or imagery).
- Soliciting or “suitcasing” if you are not registered as a vendor, exhibitor, or sponsor.
Such behavior may result in removal from the Event and other penalties. Participants asked to stop such behavior are expected to comply immediately. If you feel that a participant is not following this Code of Conduct, please submit a report with your name, contact details, and a description of the situation to webmarketing@appliedsystems.com to report a violation. This reporting function is not intended to address emergency or criminal behavior and in such cases you should contact the police, fire, medical, or other appropriate authorities.
Privacy & Personal Information
The Event exhibitors and sponsors are provided with personal attendee information. This may include attendee name, title, company, email address, and physical mailing address. Attendees in North America automatically opt in to receive email communications from select sponsors and/or exhibitors during the registration process, whereas attendees abroad must opt in to receive them. You acknowledge that by entering into a chat or “booth” of an exhibitor or sponsor, that you may be asked to provide your personal information and that the contents of such chats may be recorded or otherwise maintained by the sponsor or exhibitor, to which you consent by entering into such communications. The use of those communications and information is subject to the privacy policies and terms of such exhibitor and/or sponsor. Use and disclosure of personal information may be outside of the territory in which you reside and European Economic Area for these purposes.
You acknowledge and agree that Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates may use your personal information pursuant to its privacy policy and Applied Client Network, the Event co-sponsor, may use your personal information pursuant to its privacy policy.
Photos & Videos
We will take virtual screenshots and videos during all virtual activities and sessions during the Event. By participating in the Event, you grant Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates the right to use your name, company affiliation, and photograph for such purposes including, but not limited to, posting or publishing on news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, pursuant to the Appearance Release & License Agreement.
By registering, attendees, agree to the Appearance Release & License Agreement.
Program Changes
All efforts will be made to present the Event program presented as publicized. Applied Systems, Inc., its affiliates, sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers, however, reserve the right to change or cancel any sessions, presentations, scheduling, plans, or other items relating directly or indirectly to the Event without prior notice and without liability for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result.
Disclaimer & Limitations
Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates make no representation, warranty, or guarantee as to the reliability, timeliness, quality, suitability, availability, accuracy or completeness of the materials or presentations provided at the Event or the operating system environment and technology on which the Event is held (“Platform”).
The Platforms are provided by third-party vendors, are delivered over the Internet, are subject to limitations, delays, and other problems inherent in the use of the internet and electronic communications and may not be secure, uninterrupted, or free of viruses, harmful components, or errors. Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates shall not be responsible for any delays, delivery failures, viruses, hacker intrusions or other damage resulting from such problems. You will not introduce into any Platform or part thereof any spyware, virus, Trojan horse, or other destructive or contaminating program.
All conditions, representations and warranties, whether express, implied, statutory or otherwise, including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed by Applied Systems, Inc. and its affiliates to the maximum extent permitted by law. Applied Systems, Inc. nor its affiliates have any liability to you or your organization for any reason in relation to the Event. No monetary or other compensation will be given for virtual no-shows or cancellations.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois and the parties agree that all disputes arising out of or in connection with this agreement shall be brought only in the federal and state courts located in Will County, Illinois.
